Zone minutes longer than actual exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This just started happening (using watch successfully for 8 months.)

I did a single exercise setting (stairstepper) nonstop different interval intensities for 30 minutes. Zone minutes were wacky! One was about 45 minutes, one (the highest, of which I did few that time) something like 20 (no!)

This continues every day. I don't know what to do or if it's broken.

Zone minutes and active minutes are different things. Zone minutes reflect your heart rate rather than the exercise you do. The more intense the heart rate the more the zone minutes as they double the cardio so if you do 30 minutes of cardio this is then equal to 60 zone minutes. So this could account for what is occurring with you.

Very simple explanation.  Tap "Zone Minutes" circle on phone app and read about them.  Cardio and Peak zones count double.  Higher intensity, more credit.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
