has anyone else experienced inaccurate hr readings on fitbit?

This only started with my Fitbit after a month or two of owning it, but it will show a normal number then start increasing rapidly and then come back down and then go back up again, and this will repeat. every time it shows a high heart rate I will check manually, and its never close to the high number, in fact it seems like this malfunction occurs more often the lower my heart rate is. It also seems like these episodes happen more when I am sitting as opposed to standing or and laying down. I have not been able to find any information on such a malfunction wondering if anyone experience same thing.

Hi @bazme82 - try restarting the watch, HR should be relatively accurate when not moving, when moving it is another story.
