few days ago my Versa 4 suddenly started to vibrate, then flashed the Fitbit logo a while and after that showed the red X.
It won't react in anyway when pushing the button shortly or longer.
I took Versa 3 to use and Versa 4 has been charging and for a while it tried to connect with my wifes phone and my phone. So I tried to reconnect it with the app and the clock said "connected" but the app just kept the connecting going.. after an hour (and the clock had then showed the "load the app, become a member etc" screen) I ended the connection try, and since then the clock has stayed dead, unless its on charger and there it only flashes the logo and then again the red X and goes black and now iitis dead.
i removed the app, re installed but nothing comes on. i bought it in May 2023. it started this nonsense with the incorrect date every other day and it is 2years old.

Hi @MySAfitVersa5, Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you with the red x that constantly appears on your Versa 4 display.
First of all, do not unpair your device or uninstall the Fitbit app because you might not be able to pair the device again.
This being said, follow the instructions below:
- Sync in the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, tap the Devices > Versa 4 > Sync.
- If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner, tap the Devices icon > Versa 4 > Gallery. The app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover the device.
- Restart your Versa 4. Refer to How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hey, good luck with this issue. The same thing happened to me only a year and a few months after I bought it and I did everything to fix it. I restarted, reconnected, disconnected, pressed the side button for 10 seconds, bought a new charging cable...and nothing worked. I contacted fitbit and they said it was a hardware issue/malfunction and YET they don't cover this because it's passed the warranty date. My fitbit is not damaged and I never got it wet. I was disappointed with this. I had the charge 3 and 4 and this never happened.
