Received this morning (Versa 2, UK).
+ Nice to see that update via bluetooth is now quite speedy, no need to tumble down the wifi rabbit hole
- "Bug fixes and improvements" is lazy & sloppy. Your users deserve to know which bugs and shortcomings you are trying to address. Who knows, you might even get some helpful feedback!

I agree! I’d actually like to know what the bug fixes and improvements are because of the specific issues I’m having with the versa 2!

The post of the firmware update for April was closed which users that experienced issues that was caused by that firmware with users left without a working device yet here we go with another firmware update that has the same rhetoric regarding this firmware regarding bug fixes and improvements. No actual details of what was actually done with this firmware.
Will this update fix the issues that were caused by the previous firmware or having them performed in subpar manner that seems to be the norm with all the firmware updates starting last year? Bottom line is that issues are not addressed and corrected and these updates are not tested.
For any user who is out of warranty, these firmware updates are a gamble because these firmware updates aren't thoroughly tested and there is no guarantee that they won't brick your device or render them to perform in a subpar manner. The lack of support that was noted in the prior firmware post was appalling. We users shouldn't be the beta testers for a firmware update issued by your company. It should be a seamless experience with minimal issues. I'm frustrated.
The bottom line is this: I don't want to lose my money by a garbage update, if there is not warranty that no issues would appear I prefer to stay on an older but secure software release.
The true solution is to fix the issue for all existing Versa, Versa Lite, and the Versa 2 as well as the Ionic watches that they have bricked with their updates.
Fitbit needs to disconnect the Fitbit from the "Fitbit cloud" The watch should only have communication with whatever you’re syncing with, Computer or Phone. With the understanding that the Fitbit cloud is like a backup, but I should have the option to choose when to back it up, and we should have the option to skip updates and not be forced.

FITBIT VERSA TIME OF DEATH: 0442 19/05/2020
Just when i thought i still have a hope by updating to this latest software so it could fix the battery drain problem that's occurred since the last update, it completely died on me this morning. Attempt to charge the unit only caused it to get real warm. Press hold all button No respond, no screen whatsoever.
Sad to say, as a fitbit owner since 2015 the flex, charge and now the versa, none of it lasted longer than 18months.
I will never buy another Fitbit product anymore, goodbye!
Edit: and yes... i bought a Samsung Active 2.

Not impressed.
My heart rate monitor stopped working ages ago and Fitbit Customer Services won't even respond to my emails anymore.
I tried all of the fixes they suggested including rebooting and setting back to factory default but heart rate monitor still not working.
Will this OS update fix this, if not, how the hell do I get my money back as this will only be an expensive piece of junk.

My second time with extreme battery drain began yesterday - coincidence? I doubt it. My first Versa was replaced by Fitbit after the battery was draining very quickly. Now the same thing is happening to my second Versa. Fitbit, please address and fix the battery drain issues on the Versa!

Yesterday my fitbit did not update, firmware was 4.1. Thus, I put it to factory reset and then it updated to 4.1.2 before getting notification to update to 4.1.3. Howerver, it stuck and cannot be sync so I reset it again and now It is on firmware 4.1.2.
I use fitbit connect to check for new update but the lastest firmware displayed on fitbit connect was only 4.1.2? How can I update to 4.1.3 firmware now, I'm tired to unpair and reset it again!

@haid as it states in the OP, "This is a progressive rollout which means everyone will receive it at different stages." So there is no way to force the update, you get it when you get it.

Since updating yesterday, my versa is not always connecting with bluetooth. Tried on my ipad and Samsung S9. Last update was 3 hours ago. Seems like on wifi it's a problem I just noticed. Took off of wifi then it worked.

Prior to this update I had a perfectly good versa. It started the download and choked 1/10th of the way. I was left with a lit up square monitor that I couldn’t restore or reset with help from twitter support. They confirmed it died mid download but refuse to help with repair or replacement. My first versa died after ten months. This replacement was on back order for a month and only lasted nine before the cursed update. I haven’t even gotten a full calendar year out of one versa. Not impressed. Test your updates or warn people that they might result in a dead product.

Last time the firmware 4.1.1 did not roll out to my devices, which cause a factory reset to have 4.1.1. Hope that this won't happen again

I'm having the same issue over here...

Same exact thing happened to me. I updated, started having issues with my battery and my Versa 2 restarting itself. Monday it just died, so I thought the battery did the fast drain it's been doing so I put it on the charger. All that happened is that it got warm. I tried 5 times to reset that thing, put it on the charger again, tried to reset it. Hours later after giving up and laying it on my bed, it was still warm. The day this happened, there was yet another update. Was it the fix? I'll never know.
It was fine until these updates. I loved my Versa 2.
I now own an Apple Watch. My Versa shouldn't die because of the companies updates to my equipment.

Unable to get the update to load for an out of warranty but fully functional Versa despite following the instructions and a lengthy fruitless online session repeating the instructions with customer support.
Versa is inoperative - Apple Watch Series 3 purchased to replace it. We will not be returning to Fitbit.
