Hi all, just updated my Versa to the newest version via Wifi within 10 minutes. No problems at all with the Today screen, clock faces, screen problems or whatever. How did I achieve that?
1. Prepared my Versa carefully before starting the update, e.g. switched my clock face to one of Fitbit itself, and charged the Versa fully.
2. Took my Versa out of the charger and rebooted it and put it back in the charger and connected it to my laptop. Also made sure that my mobile device/Fitbit app was connected to Wifi during the entire procedure by plugging my MD in my laptop, going to settings in the Fitbit app and to Wifi settings and clicked connect to network.
3. Started the update which finished within 10 minutes and no problems at all.
4. Reinstalled my usual, "third party" clock face, which also functions without any problems
5. Went to settings, about info on my Versa (Fitbit app showed it already) and it told me that I have version 32.331.30. Well done Fitbit!!
Hope this information is helpfull for all those who still have to perform the upgrade or did not receive the update message untill now.
BTW, will keep you updated when something comes up that is different from the previous version, like battery usage, which might be expected with the new Today screen or size of the update version, etc.
Update 1: Regarding battery usage: it's almost 24 hours later after charging and my battery shows 91%, sofar no extra drainage by the new version.
Update 2: in the former version (.19) sleep was not logged automatically and thus did not sync in the Fitbit app. Had to do that manually via Fitbit's dashboard on my laptop. With the new version, this problem is solved and sleep is automatically logged and synced!!

Hi, glad to read to all went very well for you without any problems and no special precautions, but all the posts on this community about upgrading problems, which are numerous and show otherwise, I simply thought to share my experience whith updating to the latest firmware. After performing it within 10 minutes, everything worked directly, including the new Today screen in which you can choose seven activities the watch needs to follow.

I got the notification and put the Versa in the charger and did the update. Clock face was back up in 5 minutes. App still said updating so left it alone and fell asleep. When I looked later, the app said completed. No special tricks. Just put it in the charger and left it alone for a while.

Curious to know if you have closely checked ALL the features on your Versa after doing the 3,0 update?
I ask this, because I too thought that my update went through flawlessly, that is, until I began seeing that some of the basic things on my Versa were just not working the correct way they used to.
Just two examples: ..my Versa no longer seems to want to connect to the GPS on my iPhone any longer. And my Weather App no longer seems to want to retain my location info.
There are more things that are also not quite working correctly on my Versa, but my main question here is.. Did you check "everything" on your tracker.. and can confirm that your Versa is still working as perfectly as it was before doing the 3.0 update? - and can you also confirm that ALL of the new features are working exactly as they are supposed to?

Hi, regarding this: "can you also confirm that ALL of the new features are working exactly as they are supposed to", the answer is simply yes. I have the "same" Versa with a lot more possibilities.
However, I do understand your question, but before posting my message, I of course tested everything thoroughly. Today screen - fully updated, Notifications - working as usual, Weather - working as usual, Clock face - working as before, etc, etc. The new Today screen is amazing and a valuable addition to the Versa, very nice work by Fitbit.

Hi, regarding this: "my Weather App no longer seems to want to retain my location info." , there is a solution for this problem:
1. Go to the weather app
2. Press the settings on the right side of the screen
3. If you see only your Current Location on this screen, press add location and enter your exact location manually.
4. Reboot your watch and see, after syncing, if the weather app works again. Worked for me flawlessly.

Thanks for the info, and did try that method the other day, and while it did work at that time, when I tried looking at the weather once again today, the current city info was once again gone. I really don't feel that we should now need to be constantly resubmitting the same info over and over and restarting our trackers just to have them function the way used to.

Hi, after entering your exact location in the weather app, please reboot your Versa and see if that solves your problem. Good luck.

So you can confirm that on your Versa, when you would say.. "add 8 oz of water via your today app" that as soon as you would sync your Versa to your phone app, the water panel on the phone's Fitbit app would then show that 8 oz of water had just been added?
I only ask this because it is specifically one of those things that seems to not be working very well for many other users.

Hi, I normally do not use that, but since you asked this question, I enabled it on my Versa and my Dashboard. I entered on my Versa 90 ml and rebooted my watch. After syncing it with my Fitbit app, it tells my on my dashboard that I took 90 ml's. So yes, that's also working.

I guess a point here would be.. "Why should you need to reboot your watch?" - that would not be something that would normally be necessary if the 3.0 update was working correctly. As in, so whenever we enter any new info, we'll also need to do a reboot? (or if you tried to enter a second 90 ml entry, would you feel as though a second reboot would be necessary?)

Hi, as I never used this item, it's just not more than logical to reboot either your watch or your mobile device, so both know that you have activated a new item and has IMHO nothing to do with the new version not working correctly. That's something I always do/ is needed when using something new on my watch. And no, it's not necessary to reboot a second time when you enter something new in this specific item. Do I have answered enough of your questions to finally convince you that the new version is working for me flawleslly ?
UPDATE:
Hi, will try to find that out for you. Just wait a few minutes.

just tested it out and my notifications are working fine. Do you use the latest version? If yes, switch notifications of in the settings, reboot your watch and after rebooting enable them again in the settings. To check whether notifications are enabled, long press your left button, which activates your activity screen and see if your notifications are enabled. Good luck.

A complete reset will lead to loosing all of you data, as it it is a factory reset. Would only advice that as the last option. Rebooting your watch is sometimes necessary more than once, so just try that and also reboot yout mobile device. I do not know if reinstalling the update, if possible at all, will solve your problem. Hope this helps.

Really sorry I misunderstood you. Did you already try to reboot your Versa several times by pressing and holding the left and right lower button untill the Fitbit logo appears? Is your Versa still present in the Fitbit app? If yes, i would start by removing it from your Fitbit app, restart your Phone (make sure you have the latest Fitbit app installed on your phone) and reboot your Versa also as described above. Got to the Fitbit app on your phone again and press add device (make sure that on your phone BT is enabled and on your Versa is set to on) and start the procedure all over again. Hope this helps, good luck and Happy Hollidays.
