I have only had my Versa for two weeks. I am ready to return it. I returned it once for an exchange hoping that I just had a dud but no luck. here is a comparison between the versa and the charge 2. I wore both of them on my hike today the versa wouldn't connect to gps half the time. Will there ever be a fix? is there a permanent solution? Heart rate is way off. Charge 2 matches more close to manual checks.

I have returned my Versa. I am sad but maybe I will try again if the issues ever get resolved.

With your excellent report there cannot be any denying of the GPS issues in Versa. The issue is known to be in Versas until recently, however as of a week ago there has been a firmware update and so it's critical to know which firmware version your Versa is currently running on. If the old, then this is old news. If the new, that is a totally different story.

It is the latest 32.32.12.19 Updated the first one when it rolled out a week after I got it and then when I exchanged it a few days ago this new one set up with the new one. (this is the reason I exchanged the first one)

I do want to add that I have tested this out many times, Resting, reinstalling app, rebooting, turning on and off bluetooth. unpairing all other devices, changing gps settingsect. even though that would have no effect on how it works.

Until now I held out hope that the new firmware would extinguish some of the fires, meaning fixing at least some of the more serious firmware issues. With GPS, distance, heart-rate and steps all confirmed as NOT being fixed, I really can't see any light at the end of their tunnel. Saddens me greatly, particularly when you consider how much load they have placed on users to update the firmware, to something that offers nothing. Nothing.

@Glenmcd I agree, I wanted to love the Versa so badly, and I do! except that it doesn't work. I had thought about trying one more time with one from a different store hoping for maybe one from a different batch? But at this point I am not sure it would make a difference. I Think I will be returning it and just continue to use my charge 2 until this is sorted. Or go another direction entirely.
