Versa not receiving notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have done all the steps to properly set up my notifications between my android and my Versa. I have actually done it a few times and even went so far as to reset my Versa. The test call notification goes through, notifications for telegram go through but nothing for inbox, messenger, Facebook, slack, hangouts, Snapchat etc.

Anyone else having this issue? I bought this thing so that way I didn't have to constantly have to rush to my phone or computer but without the notifications working a big purchase point is now gone. It only stopped working a few days ago.

As stated above I do not get the app "error" message about notifications not working.

A warm welcome to the Community @thatsboxy.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If your Versa isn't receiving notifications, I recommend taking a look at the My Tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android App) post and follow the instructions provided there.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Man Happy

I have already done all of this. I still only get Telegram notifications
even though I have my settings proper both for the fitbit and my phone. I
get the notifications on my phone but not the Versa. No "error" message
coming from fitbit about notifications either.

Same problem here ! Called Fitbit yesterday and the tech said they were aware of the situation and that I have to wait for a fix . If it’s not fixed until the end of Best Buy returned policy, ill return the watch and buy something else .

If you can receive text, phone call...maybe you need to turn on the "app notifications"

  • go to " Fitbit app" on your phone
  • press the left corner versa icon
  • scroll down "Notifications" ...get in
  • you will find a guy "App Notifications" there then click in to see the app (like twitter....) is on or off. (when it shows green is on, if white is off)

Good Luck Smiley Wink

I'm also waiting for a fix for this. My Versa picks and chooses what notifications to send, such a brutal launch hope they get a fix for this ASAP. Miss my pebble.

Hey all, thanks for the information.

Could you please tell me which troubleshoot have you tried so far? If you still have this issue and provide me with a screenshot of your notifications settings by following the instructions provided in this post?

Hope to hear from you soon. Robot Happy

Syncing fine so it is connected via bluetoothSyncing fine so it is connected via bluetooth

I did everything in the link you posted (multiple times) plus resetting/repairing the Versa. I haven't taken the step of resetting my phone but that seem super extreme to get a bloothtooth device to work properly.

The thing is that last week that list worked perfectly fine. If my phone battery died and I had to reset the notifications upon restarting my phone after charging it worked great. Now? It just isn't sending notifications for anything BUT Telegram.

I don't blame you.

I did some more testing and it seems that the second I turn on anything other than just the phone notifications I get the error message from the app. If I disable the other notifications the error goes away.

I tried following the steps provided in the initial reply to me by the moderator and it doesn't help anything. The notifications error persists and only the call notifications work.

Hey,

I have notification access turned on for the fitbit app.

These are my settings inside the app for notification access. My issue is it stops sending notifications randomly until it reconnects with bluetooth or re-syncs.

I just purchased the Versa and can’t receive texts. The test call works but not texts. Spent 1/2 hour with support and they couldn’t help. Outcome- not compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Very disappointed

I just noticed that my Versa was acting up yesterday.  I had absolutely no inbox message or calls coming in.  I can't even get a "test" call from my Fitbit Versa.  It is so frustrating!  I have also done what the reboots and unpairing  and nothing works.  I'm upset period!

Things still aren't working for me and there has been no information or update from fitbit as to when they plan on having it fixed. I think I am only giving it one more week and then I am returning it and finding another option for a smart watch.

I finally managed a way to get my notifications working... I had to change my iOS language to English instead of French Canadian... hope it can help some people..

Hello all, I hope you are doing fine.

I appreciate the feedback, the tips and images provided. I would like to know if you keep having issues with your notifications? I think that you all or most of you are Android users, our team have released an update for the Fitbit app in which you will be able to fix the notifications issue you are experiencing.

If you haven't updated your app, follow the instructions provided in the How do I update the Fitbit app for Android?, then test your units.

Let me know if you need anything else. Smiley Happy
