API Terms Question

As part of the terms of the API it is stated that you cannot make applications that replace the fitbit platform - my question is does that extend to third party clients on platforms where fitbit is not available? For example if a developer wanted to make an OSX client for viewing your fitbit data would that be in line with the API terms?
