Hi,
Has anyone had their iOS app rejected recently that integrates with Fitbit using the Fitbit web login? Apple is claiming that we/Fitbit would need to support the Apple login for the app to get approved. We are currently fighting the rejection. (we have not appeal it yet). Below is why the app is being rejected. Thanks, Chris
Guideline 4.8 - Design - Sign in with Apple
We noticed that your app uses a third-party login service but does not offer Sign in with Apple. Apps that use a third-party login service for account authentication must offer Sign in with Apple to users as an equivalent option.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, please revise your app to offer Sign in with Apple as an equivalent login option.
Resources
- Review the sample code on Apple Developer Support to learn more about implementing Sign in with Apple in your app.
- Read the Sign in with Apple Overview to learn more about the benefits Sign in with Apple offers users and developers.

Hi @bickster,
We've recently become aware of this new requirement from Apple and are working on options to address this. I think I'll have a temporary solution for you in about a week.

Hi Gordon. We "convinced" the review team that the login should not be considered a third-party login to our app and they have approved multiple versions since this post. This doesn't mean that we are in the clear. At any point a new reviewer could reject the app again. Looking forward to the temporary solution.
Thanks,
Chris
