Can the API be used to sync a fitbit to a fitbit account?

I am a Linux user, and there are no official fitbit apps for Linux (Ubuntu). I would like to build one, but I did not see any information on pulling data from the tracker, only on pulling data from and placing data on the online account. Is it possible to use the API to sync the fitbit with the account?
