From web api what do I need to query to determine if I am asleep at any given time

from the below url and the json data provided I am able to pull it but need to verify if I hit on say today what should I que off of to determine if I am asleep basically I want to do an action in code but only if I am asleep

 

"https://api.fitbit.com/1.2/user/-/sleep/date/" + today + ".json"
