How to connect to API from 3rd party when you login with facebook?

I can earn points with my Humana health insurance by connecting my Vitality account to the fitbit api but have not been able to because I login to fitbit with facebook.  I have tried to login to the api with my facebook credentials but that does not work.  Please help

I get points with my (not Humana) insurance as well.  I had to create a Fitbit account then go to my insurance page and connect my Vitality account from there.  I didn't use my facebook account in either place.

You may find good help on your Vitality account, that's where I first learned to connect mine.
