Hello,
I’m a mobile developer building a health app that needs access to Fitbit’s sleep data. As most of you know, Fitbit requires completion of the Research Application form at https://partners.fitbit.com/researchapplication before granting clearance.
The problem is that form has been “under maintenance” for months. I’ve tried reaching out through the developer portal, and even spoke with a Google/Fitbit support chatter, but they couldn’t help me. I keep getting redirected to “general questions,” which don’t address this issue.
Right now, I still have no way to get access to sleep data. The requirement is clear (“complete the form”), but the form itself is broken, leaving developers stuck.
Has anyone here found a workaround or an actual contact at Fitbit/Google who can resolve this? At minimum, I think Fitbit needs to acknowledge that the form is dead and provide an alternative path for developers who legitimately need sleep data access.
Thanks

ok thanks, i've filled out the form and submitted it. Seems kind of extreme just to get heart rate and sleep score data. I guess they will email me in a matter of weeks to see if i'm approved....
