Syncing only Heartrate for an activity from Surge to Strava?

Hi,

 

First time dabbling w/ web APIs, a background as systems programmer, though.

 

I use my phone to record runs on Strava, but would like to pull the heartrate data from my Surge and add that to the strava activity.

 

Any starting pointers would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
