WebAPI Error 500 Get Badges endpoint

User getting error 500 from Get Badges endpoint with following

}

status code is 500 and status message is "Internal Server Error".
Looking at the users profile under "Badges and Trophies" it shows a message indicating badges and trophies are "private" when according to privacy settings they should be visible to "All friends". Even if we change this to "everyone" the change is accepted but it still displays that all badges and trophies are "private".
I suspect this has something to do with the issue.

Can you clarify your post further?

• Are you encountering this issue on your own account or a different user?
• Are you using the Get Badges endpoint and you are being returned with the 500?
• What privacy settings are you referring to when you mentioned that the setting should be set to "All friends?". Did you mean the authorization page when the user is being asked to share consent with your application?
• How are you changing the privacy settings?
