Before I invest too much time, energy and effort into this project I wanted to get it cleared by someone inside of Fitbit. If any portion of this does violate the Terms of Service, which currently by my understanding I have not done so, I want to work with you to make it in compliance.
A few days ago, I discovered a very lengthy thread on a particular health and wellness forum, where hundreds of members had shared their Fitbit user profiles, requesting to be added to gain friends. I manually extracted out all of these urls, and built a small database. I'm now displaying this information, in a way that people can physically click on each profile, open up the Fitbit profile in a new window, review the public information and submit a friend request. I have not automated the friend requests or allowed for bulk friends beyond just putting a collection of profiles onto a single page. All profiles on the page are either manually submitted on the site itself, or extracted from the forum post where they have asked to be added to friends lists. I randomize the order when displayed, to prevent users from easily attempting to add everyone to their friend list. In connection with my previous discussion surrounding the barcode/qr code, I do pass all visitors through a shortened url when leaving my site, so I can track outbound clicks and potentially balance out user impressions to ensure no user gets flooded with friend requests.
Here is the site:
It is not the prettiest thing, but I wanted to dial in the functionality before I spent too long on the design.
Any feedback, positive or negative would be appreciated. If anyone sees this as a violation of the Terms of Service, please let me know what I can do to bring it into compliance,
Thanks
Brad

Hi Brad, that sounds like an interesting project.
As well as getting feedback from the user community you may want to reach out directly to fitbit via this link:

New Features and Additions to site:
I setup a statistics dashboard, showing off the aggregate data from public information on Fitbit users. I don't think many people will be surprised by the curves, or the distributions.
Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions for other charts or graphs I should create.
Thanks
Brad
