Weird sleep time recorded after changing timezone in Fitbit app

Context:

We are writing a fatigue monitoring algorithm, which requires correct recording of the sleep period which can be used to reduce the person's fatigue level.

Everything went according to plan until we encounter one of our subject who is a frequent flyer.

The sleep record of this subject's can be in different time zone...

Problem:

To test how correct Fitbit responds to timezone change:

At 18:00 GMT+8 May 31st, I changed my timezone from GMT+8 (where I stay) to GMT-7(Los Angeles) in Fitbit IOS app and synced with my device, the time displayed on my device changed correctly to Los Angeles time.

At around 00:43 GMT+8 June 1st, I went to sleep and woke up at 09:29 GMT+8 June 1st.

After I woke up I synced my device to Fitbit app, weird thing happened.

Fitbit recorded my sleep as from 00:43 May 31st to 09:29 May 31st, which is neither correct in GMT+8 nor GMT-7 timezone. Judging from the numbers it seems to be still in GMT+8 zone, but the date was offset by 1 full day.

My question is, are abnormalities of the like something the Fitbit team is aware of?

If it is, is there any plan to mitigate/fix it?

The device is Fitbit HR.
