log my food for it to count calories consumed/nursing

Hello,

New mom, new to fitbit. I am wondering if I need to log foods in order for it to accurately account for calories allowed for weight loss. Also curious if it accounts for calories burned from breast feeding? Anyone know?

Thanks!!!

based on other readings i have done, i assume that breastfeeding at least 5 times in a 24 hour period accounts for 500 calories OUT.  therefore everyday i add in an activity for an hour worth 500cals.  it always makes my "active minutes" go over, but i don't know how else to put it in.

in that way too, for any diet i am following i add 500 cals to my daily requirements so i don't lose breastmilk supply.  it balances itself out but still good to keep track of. Hope that helps Smiley Happy
