All if a sudden, Zip shows all zeroes and won't change.

I've used my Zip for years. Other than the occasional snafu when it would't sync, it's worked well.  This afternoon, I was well over 10,000 steps and the next time I looked down it had reset and was showing a few hundred. Took the battery out and put it back in (new battery), and it's been all zeroes since, no matter how much I've walked. Time to replace maybe? I'm not wild about having to change to a watch....that doesn't count steps on my elliptical (unless I use arms too), nor on a bike.

@mpinkerman have you tried raising contact pins? I'd try this before purchasing another:

The same thing happened to me today as well...so frustrated to do a walk during my lunchbreak and now I have no data to show for it.

For the past week or two my zip has been randomly resetting and sometimes it wouldn't go on when tapped. I adjusted the terminals as suggested and now it looks normal - hoping it stays that way. Thanks for a very helpful suggestion.
