Changed battery & zip.reset itself

I changed my battery with almost 18,ooo steps on it and it reset back to zero!!!!!! That's never happened before! ! Help!

Hey @Nikkibsocute. Hmmm it could be that the battery compartiment is not holding the battery tight enough to keep a good connection and this is causing the tracker to reset. I would recommend pulling up the little metal plate on the back of the tracker to make sure it will make a proper connection with the battery and also everytime you change the battery, try to sync your Zip to make sure you will not lose any information.

Thanks! It started working right after I posted this but earlier today, my tracker reset all my steps & everything. My battery isn't dead. I have only had my zip since December! I hope it's not screwing up already! Any idea what may be causing this?
