Changing settings on dashboard

I know 10,000 steps is the basic minimum anyone is supposed to do but I'm a beginner (age 66, small and very round) and it is too many for me. Can I change it on my dashboard to a lower number and work up to it? If so how? I do other activities which don't count as steps ie swimming and yoga as I'm trying to get fitter without hurting myself and it's quite depressing to continually fail my steps goal.

It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community @lathyrusTo edit and set your goals within the Fitbit.com tiles, please do the following:

1. Click the gear icon in the lower left corner of the tile you wish to edit a goal for.
2. Write your preferred goal amount in the outlined box.
3. Click the “Save” button.

On your Fitbit app:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon. User-added image
  2. Scroll to the Goals section.
  3. Tap the goal you want to view or adjust.
  4. Tap the individual element of the goal and follow the onscreen instructions to adjust it.

I hope this helps, keep me posted! 😉
