Dashboard showing calories not steps

My dashboard used to show the number of steps I walked and now shows just calories burned. I can't seem to add it to the dashboard or to change it any way I try. Help please!

it looks paired but still just shows calories and no steps.  I have told it to replace Inspire HR and now it only says "connecting".

My Inspire HR is doing the same thing.
