I have been having similar issues with my fit bit as others that I have read about . my zip loses time steps and power and doesn't sync correctly . I have tried the solutions checking out the battery contact and even replacing the battery still no luck. any other ideas ?

As you mentioned, this coluld be caused by your tracker rebooting for having the battery loose inside. To fix this, open up the back of your tracker, remove the battery and you will notice a metal spring there. Lift it up with your finger nail to make sure that whenever you put the battery in, it will not fit loose. Also, there is a little metal piece to the right side. Make sure it's right inside the white outline and close it. After that, use your tracker as you would normally do and see if this helps.
