Fit Bit Zip come out of holder

I am on my second zip.  Had no problem like this with the first one.  I put it on my belt in  the AM and at night I find the holder attached but the zip gone.  I have been lucky enough to find it by backtracking my activities of the day.  What can be done to avoid losing it.

I had similar problem, only mine was that the holder kept falling off clothing.  After completely loosing 1 Zip, I contacted Fitbit via online chat & was sent a free replacement holder.  That was about a year ago & haven't lost one since--you might try contacting Fitbit.
