A couple of months ago my beloved Zip simply stopped working - new battery installed, but still not nothing, any ideas? Used my laptop to sync it, saw there was an update available, but nothing!

Did you try cleaning the battery contacts with a Q-tip and a dab of rubbing alcohol. There could be dirt or a little corrosion on the contacts

Have you tried using the Dashboard on an iPad instead? Maybe it will sync/update there instead of on your Mac.
