Fitbit issues with daily tracking

I have my Fitbit setup to give me a read out of my daily steps (so after midnight it starts all over). I start in Sunday and it ends Saturday night, today when I got up to walk it’s continuing from yesterday.  Any suggestions/tips why it is doing this?
