Fitbit not tracking steps and sometimes going backwards when syncing

Fitbit has decided to act strange today. It's not counting steps properly and on syncing often goes backwards. Have changed battery but it's no better. Also active minutes not recording properly either. Did my usual DVD of 35 mins and only recorded half. Frustrating day with it. Any ideas?

I would recommend setting up your tracker as a replacement device by following @Odyssey13's steps. If this doesn't get you back on track please be so kind to reach out Customer Support. They might be able to provide further assistance as soon as possible.
