Hi, @JaredDavis , are you referring to your 7 day steps total?  This keeps a running total of your steps for the last 7 days.  Every night at midnight it drops off the steps from the day 7 days ago, ready for the new day's steps.   That means you will always have the most steps when you sync in the evening, and the least number of steps when you wake up in the morning -- or when you look at your totals after midnight.

I hope this makes sense.  Welcome to the Community!

HI Julia_G my flex records the steps for my records but looking at the challenges I'm involved in like weekday hustle and weekend warrior it credits 10% or less each day!  Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Or is this a fitbit malfunction?

   Any ideas will be welcome.

Hi there @Nikedemos, I've noticed you are new around so let me give you a warm welcome. With the challenges this is different that @Julia_G was mentioning before. When you are participating in a challenge there a some caused why are they getting less credit regarding the step count. So here are my suggestions:

Make sure you are not manually logging an activity. Steps from manually logged activities do not count toward challenges; only steps recorded by your tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
This is the same if you used MobileRun to track GPS data with your app.The timezone of the particip[ants also play a role here since all challenge participants are not in the same time zone causing different numbers on your steps, specifically talking about challenges.

See you around and keep me posted if you have more questions.
