How do I maximize my Zip's battery life?

Hello guys Smiley Tongue

  • Your Fitbit Zip battery should last up to 6 months before needing a replacement.
  • If your tracker is showing a low battery icon within the first month of use, the issue may be resolved by updating your tracker.
  • Frequently tapping your tracker to check your statistics may reduce the battery life.
  • The Zip has a harmless, polysilicone grease on the battery door that lubricates the rubber gasket to ensure a water-tight seal.
  • The Fitbit Zip runs on a replaceable 3V coin battery, CR2025 (pictured below). It can be found wherever batteries are sold.

  • When the battery drops below 25%, a low battery indicator will show on your tracker display and dashboard. A flashing battery icon indicates that your tracker is very close to being completely out of battery life. Data could be lost if your tracker is not synced before replacing the battery.
  • When your tracker's battery needs to be replaced, use the battery door tool (pictured below) to open and close the battery door compartment, which is located on the back of the your tracker. Your old battery can be recycled.
