I've been wondering why my zip is recording fewer distances and steps than my husband's. We went on about a mile walk just now, and his recorded the distance as 1.08 miles (and 2309 steps). Mine recorded the distance as .88 miles (and 2195 steps). He's 7 inches taller than me. I would expect the distance to be the same and my steps to be more than his, as my stride is shorter.
I wear my zip clipped to my pants pocket, and he keeps his inside his pants pocket. They were both purchased and set up this year.
Do you have any suggestions for making sure my zip is working correctly?
Thank you,
Laurie

my thought would be is to manually set your stride. If you allreasy have done this, then take your set stride, di ixe ir by 0.8. Use this as your stride setting.

Thanks, I manually set my stride, and now it's much closer to his, but still not the same. Maybe we need to set his too!! 🙂

My.thought would be, do you want your stride closer to his, or closer to what you actually walked, adjusting this might be needed.
Now to throw a monkey wrench in. You both might find that you have one stride while walking with.each other, and another stride while walking alone. The speed at which you walk will affect the stride length.
