Is there something I can do to improve the calories burned function on my zip?
So far to day I have done 11,162 steps and burned 263 calories.
However yesterday I only did 6,667 steps and the calories burned shows 284.
How on earth can it be more than today when Ive almost doubled the steps?
That made me go and look, so I have pulled some stats...
4,976 steps / 262 cals
16,467s / 366c
14,554s / 348c
3,517s / 256c
11,838s / 328c
This looks pretty dodgy and I'd really like to have some confidence in the calories burned reporting.

Is 263 your total calories for today or just the calories above BMR?
If it's the total then there's something seriously wrong as most people will burn over 1000 a day just sitting on a couch.
I would double check that your profile settings are correct (weight, height etc) as these are key to your calorie calculations:

Best AnswerThnaks Steve.
I have read the article on BMR.
I have checked my profile - all correct.
I do not log activities other than what the tracker records.
So there is no variable for system to get wrong.
Last night I looked at my tracker it showed 6568 steps and believe it or not 1500 calories burned.
Minutes later it had adjusted itself to 286 calories.
I am certain there is something wrong.
