Log Steps not distance

I used to be able to log steps if I forgot my Fitbit for part of the day. Now I can only log distance or time, and when I do, it does not convert to steps so even though I have added the activity, the dashboard shows me woefully short of my daily steps goal. Why can't steps be logged anymore? Why are miles not converted to steps anymore? This is frustrating.

I just titties logging a 2 mile walk through the android app, it not only gave me the WWII plant steps but then told me that I hit my daily goal.

Have you tried adding through the and not the app?

Hi there @MinBigD, its been a while since you posted but your case caught my attention. So let me start with giving you a warm welcome to our Community.

I just want to provide some information about your case. Note that is not possible to log steps individually or as a separate amount. For this is require to log an specific exercise (i.e. Walk or Run) Based on the information you enter, your Dashboard automatically will translate this into step amount.

See you around and if you have questions please let me know.
