I received my fitbit zip on fathers day(11 days ago). While just walking around at work it fell out. I tried everything I could to find it,but nothing. Customer service offered me a 25% discount on a new one. Reading the forum posts this seems to be an issue for quite some time. One would think they would have solved this before now. Offering to give a 25% discount to buy the same piece of garbage that I just lost is a waste of my time and money. I will definitely tell people about this experience so they won't make the same mistake.

I lost my zip twice, popped out unnoticeable. I wrapped mine in a piece of shrink wrap to keep it in the clip. Unattractive but working so far

Is there a way to track?

You can track through the app on your phone or using the usb device on yyour computer.  the zip fit will store the information for 7 days between "syncs".  I hope this helps.

Best Answer

I just realized you probably meant track the device itself.

after I lost mine in Disney World I bought a tile that I have attached to my zip using a dot of epoxy.  I cut a small hole in the clip to allow the chain to hang and the zip fit can still pop out enough to change the battery.

I ended up getting a "leash" like one uses for a flash drive to connect to my Zip. The string end goes around the clip on the Zip in the holder, and I hook the locking clip part of the leash to my pants. The Zip goes in my pocket, and it keeps it from falling off and getting lost.

Hi there, @Monica3472@b_bam@stepbystep39! It is nice to see new faces around. Heart The only way to track your Fitbit would be to try to sync it and walk around the places you think it might be. If it doesn't then there is no other way because it does not have GPS or anything like that. However you can contact our Customer Support team and check your available options with them.

Also, thank you for sharing your ideas of keeping the Fitbit in place and secure, sounds very cool, if you could share pictures would be nice!

Have a nice weekend!Man Tongue
