New Zip not tracking calories and low battery message

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Zip is just over 4 years old.  Recently it stopped tracking calories.  It also is sending the message that the battery is low and then the it is OK and then it is low and then it is OK.  The battery is only 6 weeks old.  I am wondering if i should just buy a new Zip

Nice to see you here @schmidtfrau! This sounds odd. To ensure that your Zip is working as it should, please restart it.

Also, to check that your app is displaying the correct information log out from your app, and reboot your phone. Once your phone is up, log back in.

If this doesn't help, please take an screenshot of your Dashboard. And make sure that your have all your tiles enabled

Keep me posted with the outcome! 😉

I did all the things you said to do...The calories tile is not hidden on my dashboard, but i still don't get it on my device.  The battery notification is still fluctuating from low to full and back again...

Thanks for the update @schmidtfrau! This is a non expected behavior. To better understand the issue you are experiencing, can you please attach an screenshot of your Dashboard?

In the meantime, check your Online Dashboard to see if it's displaying your calories and the correct battery level.

I look forward for your reply!

Mine says "battery low" often even when it's a new battery.  Try taking the battery out and leaving it out for 10-20 seconds and this should help.  Also, I do notice that the batteries run down sooner if I sync often.

Good luck!

I wondered if syncing more often uses more battery power - seems like I have had to replace the last few after only 2-3 months.

I just put a new battery in my zip this morning...my zip, my app and my computer never acknowledged that I had replaced the battery. They all still said my battery was low. I went out for a walk and my zip was tracking my steps anyway, but when i got back home my zip was dead. I took the battery out and put it back in as you instructed. It is dead...probably time for a new one - ?
