Steps Resetting When I Sync

Every time I sync my zip, the steps reset back to zero and I have to start all over again for the day. It does this multiple times a day until it finally decides to sync the number of steps I took since the last time it reset to zero. This ends up leaving me at a much, much lower step count than I should have and it's making me really frustrated and sad!! I'm losing in the group I'm in because of this issue : ( My zip is up to date on firmware and I just put in a new battery last week. I don't know what could be up with it. Please help!

Mine is doing the same thing.  Brand new, I only got it last week and downloaded the app so it should be up to date. It will count steps mostly correct, but when I sync it will reset to 0.  Plus at random times during the day it resets to 0.  And if I don't sync it up for a couple days, like I did this week and just synced it up this morning, I know I had steps on Monday and Tuesday but it doesn't "remember" those and credit it to my daily count.  And it's reset itself randomly since Monday so I don't really know what I'm walking.

When is it supposed to reset to 0?  Just with every new day?  I can see in the app that it has the right time zone. Very frustrating, right now I'm a lot happier with the old analog pedometer that I used to clip on my belt, it had a plain old reset-to-0 button.

It's nice to see our Community is growing @SunsetRunner! Welcome my friend! Man HappyThis is really weird, please know that sometimes the side spring may be bent as a result of improper battery insertion or pressure being applied to the back housing. Please verify that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip tracker. You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. The process can be followed here

Hope this helps, let me know the outcome! Woman Wink
