I was putting my fit bit on my belt loop. For my 6.5 hour work day I take between 2500-3000 steps. Today, I put the fit bit on my shoe and my steps almost doubled. Which one would be more accurate the belt loop or on the tennis shoe. Thank you for any information.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Begovatz59. It's great to have you here. The Fitbit Zip was actually designed to wear on your belt, bra or pocket. It might not provide accurate readings when wearing on the shoe.
At the moment, there is no Fitbit tracker to wear in the shoe, if there is any release in the future, it will be communicated as soon as possible.
Hope to see you around more often.
