Steps from yesterday carried over to today

I installed a fresh battery since my old one was low; it was about 6 am local time. The distance reset but the daily steps and calories did not. I then took out the battery, let it sit for about 5 minutes, and put the battery back in -- but the situation didn't change.

Hi there @Nannygida. Good to see you in the Fitbit Community! 🙂

I'm sorry about the inconvenience. It seems like changing the battery generated conflict in the information. This happens usually when your tracker has been out of use for a while but I would expect that to be just for that day and this should not happen from now on.

Keep an eye on it though and if you need more help with this, let me know!

Need more help!

I've used my Zip religiously for 1.5 years now. I had synced my Zip to my phone before bed last night and saw that the battery was nearly out. I was too tired to change it last night so I did it first thing this morning. That's when I found that the steps and calories carried over from yesterday; the distance reset itself and is marking what I've walked correctly.

Thanks for getting back @Nannygida!

I would say, if your tracker is working fine right now, I mean, counting your steps and recording your activity in general, just make sure to sync it ot your account. Once you've synced it, see how it's working by tomorrow in the morning and see if the stats are correct.

Let me know how it goes!
