I am really starting to completely lose faith in this company. For weeks, we had to deal with the so-called bungled upgrade which only succeeded in 1) the dreaded "multiple trackers found" message 2) having to log in every time in order to force sync and 3) having to remove the Dongle every time in order for the tracker to be found and synced. Although those seem to be now solved, the current problem is that the Zip has to literally be inches in order to be found and synced. Check the 45+ pages of the thread "More Than One Tracker Found Error" at https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-com-Dashboard/More-Than-One-Tracker-Found-Error/m-p/1122976#M... and you will see that I am by no means the only one with this problem, there are hundreds if not thousands since it is hard to find these threads.
Yes it seems like a petty problem with an easy solution, except for the umpteemth day in a row, I've had to take the Zip off, put it on top of my computer so the dongle can find and sync it, and then forget to put it back on or in my pocket. I've lost thousands and thousands of steps because of this. TO FITBIT: I left a negative review on Amazonwhen the multiple tracker fiasco was happening, and did an update saying the problem was resolved. I will make it a mission to leave negative reviews on every one of your products as well as Facebook and LinkedIn if you don't respond with daily updates on the status of the fix. You've taken a huge amount of goodwill and squandered it and I doubt very seriously you'll be able to get it back (the way Netflix did) because you've shown a lack of communication and respect for the people who fund your paychecks.

my zip won't even sync when it is touching the dongle.
I've noticed all the same problems. However, I am just annoyed, not irate.
hopefully this will get fixed promptly?

It syncs one minute and won't the next. Battery is good, so that's not it.
I literaly got it to sync 5 minutes ago, (on the third try), went into my profile to change my time zone, tried to sync again and it took 6 tries. It's actually touching the dongle. I've just started to use this Xmas present from last year, but if it continues to be this much of a pain I'll find an alternative.

I reinstalled FitBit Connect, restarted my PC (VISTA OS).
once again Connect couldn't find my ZIP.
I checked for software update so I could login.
then tried sync again, after a delay of many seconds, but less than a minute, the sync completed.
I don't think this process should be necessary, just reporting that it worked just now.

same problem today last sych was a bit after 1am today. synch won't happen since then.
FB connect cannot find ZIP to sync 😞
last update had FB connect finding TWO devices, although only 1 exists in the room.
