Zip - Steps logged when sleeping but I'm not wearing it to bed

I have a fitbit zip. I don't wear it at night, i used to place it on my table but would wake up with 350-400 steps. I thought maybe it was from my vibrating phone or tablet on the table so I now place it on the floor under a table and I still wake up with 350-400 steps?? I get the resting calories when sleeping but why would I have steps. Is there any way to change that??

Hmmm, that's strange @CBradley4.

I was going to suggest putting it somewhere else as the vibration of any other device could make it pick up steps but it seems that's not the case. I'd recommend at this point restarting your tracker by removing the battery for about 10 seconds, put it back in and try it out the next night and see how it goes.

Keep me updated. Welcome to the Forums! 😄

Oh, that makes total sense haha

I didn't really think of that but it's great to know that you're now aware of this.
