I can not setup a zip with the newest Fitbit Connect ver 2.0.2.7030 for Windows 7.  The "Which Fitbit tracker are you setting up? " window does not have zip as an option to setup.  Please assist.  Thanks Jerry.

Welcome to the Forums @mrjdsmith! I really appreciate that you have shared all information of your app and computer. This sounds odd.

The best in this situation is to uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit Connect software from your PC. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Click the Start button
  2. Click Control Panel
  3. Under Programs, choose Uninstall a Program
  4. Highlight Fitbit Connect
  5. Click Uninstall/Change
  6. Click Uninstall
  7. Click Finish

Before reinstalling, we recommend you temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software, as it may interfere with proper installation of Fitbit Connect. You can re-enable your antivirus once the installation is complete.

To reinstall Fitbit Connect, please do the following:

  1. Go to www.fitbit.com/setup and click download here beneath your Window's OS (yours for example PC).
  2. Double-click the installer file from the download location.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete installation.

I hope this helps, keep me posted! 😉

Ive done this several times with tech support and they have said it is a known issue with the newest release.  But that does not help me.

The zip is not an option in the selection of the type of fitbit.

The easiest work around would be to use a phone or the win 10 app to setup the Zip.

Do you have a compatible phone, or abother option would be to borrow a friend's phone to setup the zip. I'm sure one of your fitbit friends will help you out.

They simply would log out of their account and you log into yours .

Then do an add device

We have a employee that only has a windows 7 machine and is living in another state, so we can't do that suggestion and just need the Windows Application to work.

Thanks.
