Zip dies within 2 years

Both my husband and I use the Fitbit Zip and have had to replace it before 2 yrs time. I can understand clip wear and tear - those only last about 6 months or so. Battery replacement expected too. But for the unit to fizzle out is very disappointing.

I also think the list of trackable exercises is very limited. Shoveling after a blizzard surely is considered exercise!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @DWasowicz. It's great to have you here. Sorry to hear that your Zip is not working as intended. Please check out the workarounds shared in this post. If this doesn't work, I would recommend contacting Customer Support. 

If the activity you want to log is not part of the list, you can create a Custom Activity in the Activity tab. Please be aware this option is available only in the online Dashboard. Once it has been created you will be able to log it through the Fitbit app.
