I had a Zip for almost five years, had to replace it. On my old one, I had it set to just display steps.
On my new one, the display alternates between steps and miles. I assume that uses more battery (and I go through enough batteries as it is), plus it's mildly annoying. How do I get it back to just displaying steps only? On the dashboard, the only thing I have turned on for device display is "Distance." I'm thinking that it used to list steps and miles separately.
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity

Hey there @mpinkerman, thanks for stopping by! It seems that there has been an update to the stats your Zip can show in the display. These are the ones available for your device:
To conserve battery life, your Zip sleeps during periods of inactivity. Zip will go to sleep after approximately 20 seconds if no steps are recorded. Once your Zip is asleep, its display will remain off until moved.
I'll be around if you need further assistance!

Are you saying that it can't be made to just show steps like it used to?
If that's the case, bad decision by the programmers in my opinion. It's annoying to look down to see how many steps I have, and it's in miles instead, or in the process of switching back and forth. Seems like a step backward to me.
