Zip is eating batteries like popcorn

My zip just started needing a new battery every other day.  This is the second zip I've had and neither of them lasted for a year before doing this.  I anticipate, if this one goes the way of the last one, that within a day or two I won't have a usable device at all because the batteries won't last long enough to track anything.

Has this issue been resolved since last year?

Same here. Love the concept, poor execution.  The first battery lasted almost 4 months. Then crap.  Changed and lasted maybe 2 weeks then maybe next one another 3 weeks.  I just got the e-mail notice of low battery again.  I follow the guidelines and try to avoid pressing the screening most of the time but it doesn't matter.  And I dread changing again.  How many times will it take to get the battery in the exact place for the thing to work.  I love it and the motivation to move but stress about the battery issue.

Hi there @MaryF0504, good to see you around and welcome aboard to our Community @MAT1982.

If the issue persists and your Zip require battery change constantly, indeed this behavior is not expected. So I can suggest to both of you to try the following recommendation from @PureEvil. Its been very effective with battery issues.

Hope this helps and let me know if I can help in something else.

I have the problem. I found that turning Bluetooth off and on again returns the 'green'. It apparently gets confused near two Bluetooth devices.
