Zip stopped working after changing the battery

I have now had it with Fitbit. First- my tracker was not allowing me to change the battery and since it was out of warranty, I had to replace it at my own cost. Then the app kept taking away steps that appeared on the tracker. I had to reset several times a day. Now the tracker is deleting a few hundred steps at a time.

Customer service is not helpful.
