I have had my Fitbit for about 2 years and have not had any problems until now. I took a "fitbit break" and didn't use it for awhile. I started using it again (replaced the battery) and for the most part everything works like normal with the exception of the "activity" tracker. I am a massage therapist and most of the time the fitbit doesn't track our movements while we massage but we are burning calories (trust me! lol). So I manually input the time and calories burned for each massage length. The fitbit used to add these burned calories in no problem but now on the exercise screen it says "(not synched) Massage 1 hour 161 cals" and that activity has no impact on my calories burned on the main screen. It does not show up here on my dashboard either. Any help?

Hey @Pitterpatter69 very welcome to the Community! I have a beautiful magenta Zip and I used to have a similar issue and the thing is that sometimes the side spring may be bent as a result of improper battery insertion or pressure being applied to the back housing. So, try the following to make it work:
1. Open the battery door of your Zip
2. Remove your battery
3. Ensure that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing.
4. The process can be followed here: http://imgur.com/a/l1KwH
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!

I've discovered a work around! I can log my massage activity here on the website and it transfers to my fitbit app on the phone. A few extra steps but no worries.
