Guidelines and Fitbit Terms of Use

The Fitbit Community is a community of real people who exchange ideas, solutions, tips, techniques, and information about the Fitbit products and services they love. Our goal is to foster a pleasant and collaborative environment, and we're glad that you'll be joining us! PLEASE REMEMBER that your use of these Community Forums is subject to the following guidelines and the Fitbit Terms of Use.

Be considerate. We all want to share a positive experience in the Fitbit Community Forums. Please be polite and respectful in your interactions with other members. Your opinions are always welcome, but personal insults and harassment ("flaming") in either the Community Forums or through private messaging are not acceptable. In particular, please refrain from posting anything unlawful, obscene, abusive, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties. Please refrain from posting content that would constitute advertising, spam, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation.

Keep it productive. The Forums are designed to provide a place for customers to seek and receive help from other community members, so please keep your comments constructive and relevant to the topic on the forum or thread. To obtain assistance directly from Fitbit, take advantage of the contact form on our Support page at Solicitation of Fitbit Community members for research or sales purposes, and commentary pertaining to litigation involving Fitbit, is prohibited. Any media inquiries should be directed to

Spread the wealth. Make the community a richer place by sharing your knowledge and experience. You may have the perfect answer to someone else’s nagging question -- make their day by adding your insight to the conversation! This is the substance of the Fitbit Community Forums, and it's a great way for you to give back to your community.

Be responsible. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Forum users. Exercise common sense and your best judgment when interacting with others, including when you submit comments or post any personal information regarding yourself or others. In addition to protecting the privacy of yourself and others, please respect copyright, fair use, intellectual property, and other applicable laws. Reference and cite sources appropriately, and do not publish pictures or other materials from another person without their consent.

Use good network etiquette. We ask that all users follow a few common standards when posting to the Forums. Please refrain from typing in all capital letters, enlarging text for emphasis, or using numerous exclamation points. Likewise, please do not multipost, cross-post, or otherwise spam the Forums. If you have something you would like to share, consider adding it to your Signature - but remember that advertising is not allowed in either posts or signatures. Other members will appreciate your effort to keep the Forums readable.

We’re here to help. If you are new to the Forums and are unsure about anything, please just ask! Moderators (identified by a "MOD" icon), Fitbit employees (identified by the "Fitbit" title), and other participants are always happy to answer questions or offer assistance.
