Can i connect the gps to my walking apps?

i just got my first fitbit, i used to use a different watch to just enter steps, i have a fitbit charge 4 and since it has an integrated gps, can i use this to connect to apps? I play pokemon go, and pikmin bloom, and i dont know what limits the gps ...
