The sleep period shows ended when I got up to make a bathroom visit. I went back to sleep fo another hour
plus, but that time of sleep activity is not recorded. How can I get adjust it to end when I officially start my day?

It's nice to see you around @fronzatp, hope you're doing great today! Autodetection is based on your movement and, if you have a Charge HR or Surge, your heart rate. When you haven’t moved in over an hour and your heart rate is lowered (if applicable), algorithms assume that sleep has begun, which is then confirmed by the length of time your movements only indicate sleep behavior (rolling over, etc). Morning movement tells your tracker that you’re awake. If you’re not moving but not asleep for long periods of time it’s possible for your tracker to falsely record sleep, in which case you can delete the sleep record from your dashboard.

However, I was wondering if this is the first time you face this kind of issue with your sleep? Have you tried restarting your HR?

I'll be around!
