After syncing App not recording swimming distance correctly

Four or five days a week I swim 40 lengths of may local pool. My Sense records the time and distance correctly (1km, as it is a 25m pool). however, after syncing with the Fitbit app on my iPhone 12 it always dis-lays a distance of between 25m and 125m (always multiples of the 25m lengths of the pool, but never more than 125m) until I manually correctly the distance.

This started last September - other than this I have no other issues with the app - the time of the swim is recorded correctly, as are steps in the day, zone minutes etc, and as I stated, at the end of the swim when I manually stop the activity on my watch it correctly shows 40 lengths/1,000m.

This issue is documented on numerous other threads as well - when will it be fixed?

Is it picking up calorie use?  Mine Flex 2 shorts calorie use ninety-five to one hundred percent.  For example - and recognizing that I'm just starting up again after an injury flattened me for over a month, my resting calorie use is 1cal/minute:  Fitbit recorded 16cal yesterday and 19 today over 15 minutes of crawl with hard kicking.  My body is not that efficient.

And it's always shorted the yards count - generally by 25 or 50 yards.  I know that's wrong, as I know my time and 25 yards would leave me at the other end of the pool.

I posted this on another thread, but was told that it was unrelated and to start another thread as that thread was not specifically about swimming. It appears to me that this is very much related to the other threads where the app has been corrupting the info for the last 6 months or so, but Fitbit seem unable to resolve the issue.
