Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Ireneealey.
I am sorry to hear your Alta is not syncing with your iPhone. I am glad to assist you and recommend doing the following:
1. On your phone, tap Settings > Bluetooth > the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device.
2. Open the Fitbit app and set up the connection again. You should receive a message asking you to allow your Fitbit device to pair with your phone.
3. Tap Pair to approve the request.
For complete troubleshooting instructions, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Let me know how it goes.

Hi
I have a similar problem - but my fitbit does not show up in the bluetooth section on my iphone.
It has not synced with my phone properly for months (but oddly seems to record data 1 to 2 times a day, I'm not sure how), but I cannot pull down the screen and sync the fitbit. I have tried repairing it regularly with no joy. I have updated iOS, and reset my fitbit (I had to order a new cable as i lost my original one, and the erplacement didn't have the button). As I couldn't remove the fitbit from the list of devices under bluetooth settings I have removed the alta from the app, and tried to pair again, but this has not worked. I also have an ipad, but cannot mannually sync. I'm not going to try reconnecting on the ipad until I know it will sync with my phone.
What do you suggest?
Thank you

Hi @Osteojo, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.
Thank you for joining the thread and sharing that you're experiencing similar issue with your device. I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. Since you have several devices, the tracker is trying to connect to both and the Bluetooth connection can be interfered. Check if having another device not nearby or turning off Bluetooth on it helps. I also could see that you got in touch with our Support team about this and that they were able to assist you. Thank you for your time and efforts.
I'll be around if you have any questions.
